5 Of The Best Bridal Accessories You’ll Need On Your Wedding Day

Have you recently said yes to the dress? Congratulations! You might think it’s time to stop the shopping. But there are actually a few things you’re forgetting that you’ll need on your wedding day...your accessories! From shoes to jewellery, we’ve got the full list for you, so keep reading.

bridal accessories you'll need on your wedding day

1. Wedding Shoes

Whether you choose high stilettos or comfy flats, we always advise our brides to buy their wedding shoes before their first dress fitting. This is so your gown can be hemmed perfectly.

When you’re picking your shoes for your wedding day, there are a few things to consider:

  • Your comfort

  • Your venue

  • Your style

For instance, if you’re having a beach wedding then stilettos won’t work, but wedges or sandals would be perfect.

2. Hair Accessories

There are lots of options for how you can style your hair on your wedding day. But you’ll also need to decide if you want to wear any hair accessories. Your first choice is veil or no veil.

If you decide to go with a veil, keep in mind that there are lots of different types, so try some on. If you choose to go without a veil, there are lots of other options to choose from. Fresh flowers, a crystal hairband or a tiara are some of our favourites.

3. Jewellery

Obviously, you’ll wear your engagement ring and wedding band. But when it comes to additional jewellery, go with what suits your dress the best. You might not need anything else, or you can opt for one or two pieces to help you shine.

4. Undergarments

Once you’ve picked your dress, feel free to chat with us about what undergarments would be best for your gown. You may need something in particular to make sure they stay hidden! It’s also a good idea to bring these to your first dress fitting so you can see how your wedding day outfit looks as a whole.

5. Purse

You probably won’t carry a purse on your wedding day, because you’ll be carrying your bouquet around with you. But if there are certain items you want to take with you to your reception venue (like your favourite lipstick and some tissues), you can put them in a clutch and ask your mum or a bridesmaid to keep it safe for you.

Shopping for your wedding day accessories doesn’t have to be difficult. Decide what you want based on your overall style and you’ll get organised easily. We think you’ll look amazing!
